After being in the Peru’s tourism industry for more than 10 years, I noticed that many visitors were traveling through the country on rushed, one-size-fits-all itineraries. Peru, and especially the Cusco region, is a paradise for travelers who want to explore the Andes and discover the remarkable legacy of one of history’s greatest civilizations, whose final chapter was written by the Incas. There are iconic trails, breathtaking landscapes, and hidden places that most tour companies simply don’t include in their itineraries.
I also realized that many travelers were looking for these authentic experiences without giving up comfort. They wanted to explore during the day while enjoying premium transportation, outstanding restaurants, and carefully selected hotels. That’s how Hiker Peru was born.
